Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following correspondence: from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, reporting a discussion with the German Vice-Minister, Steengracht, on German relations with Hungary, and on the Allied talks and agreements in Moscow, with comments added by C on Steengracht's sources of information, on October 24; and from the Japanese military attaché in Stockholm, on an alleged U.K.-U.S. agreement with the Soviet Union on oil leases in Iran and the use of air bases in the Far East, from October 13.
