A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of the Brenner rail line being obstructed near Peri because of subsidence; and of high consumption of light and medium howitzer ammunition, with no stocks available to bridge gaps in delayed deliveries from Germany, and that expedited deliveries are requested; on Western Europe: of infantry being withdrawn from Walcheren to support the South Beveland front; of the Allies having broken through a new front south-east of Breda, with the 719th Infantry Division counter-attacking; that the 47th Panzer Corps' attack on Liesel and Asten is progressing slowly; that the 88th Army Corps is engaged in heavy fighting in Loon Op Zand, north of Tilburg; that Flushing's harbour and dockyard are to be blown up on the night of October 29-30; and the Tirpitz reports an Allied air attack with super heavy bombs, and that it took 800 tons of water on board from a near miss, on October 29.
