Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: battle reports by the 67th and 88th Army Corps; that a Panzer unit transferred from Alsace to a training area in East Prussia, on October 17; of an operation by explosive motorboats from Flushing being scattered by an Allied bombardment, on October 23; the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) West's morning situation report, for October 23, giving an assessment of Allied intentions; and of guidance to the armed forces on the attitude to be taken to Sweden, on October 17; on East Europe: of the Germans evacuating Kirkenes, in north Norway, on October 19 and 22; and T346/30 (see 7851).
