Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: a situation report for October 5; and that evacuation of the surplus population from the Channel Islands is under consideration, on October 4; on Southern Europe: of the right wing of the 44th Infantry Division being withdrawn, with renewed Allied attacks expected, on October 4; Naval Headlines; from Raphael in Ankara, on the Greek territories under Bulgarian occupation, on October 2; from the Turkish ambassador to the Greek government in Cairo, on the Balkan situation, as of September 25; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, reporting British landings in the Greek area, on September 30; that Sato, the representative of the Japanese Ministry of the Interior in Berlin, envisages Berlin's collapse, on October 3; and a Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) report on Holland, on October 5.
