Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: a weekly return of the 19th Army, on October 4; that the three divisions to be billetted in the 6th Wehrkreis are the Panzer Lehr, and the 1st and 12th SS Divisions, refitting under the 6th Panzer Army, and do not include the 1st Panzer Division - from southern Russia, on September 30; and of all motor transport sent back by units for repair in the Reich being requisitioned by Hitler, on October 1; Naval Headlines; Naval Headlines of September 29 with the Prime Minister's (PM's) query and the Chief of the Imperial General Staff's (CIGS's) response, on October 4; and a Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) report on morale and the internal situation in Germany, as at September 28.
