This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: the Sea Defence Commandant (SDC) for southern Holland reports the situation on October 4; the Sea Defence Commandant at Dunkirk suggests the employment of modern reprisal weapons against localities in the Dunkirk area, and German Air Force (GAF) night bomber support, on October 3; the German Admiralty responds to the SDC at Dunkirk's suggestion, on October 4; a 67th Corps situation report, for October 4; of a breach of a dyke in Holland, on October 4; and that the Germans withdraw 7 miles north of Antwerp, on October 4; on South-east Europe: that an order postponing the evacuation of Patras was received too late, on October 3; on Southern Europe: that a considerable withdrawal by the SS Panzer Grenadier Division from north-west of Florence is indicated, on October 3; and of an Allied raid on Nuernberg, on October 3.
