This file includes the following reports: a report by the propaganda office on the aftermath of the Allied raid on Karlsruhe, on October 1; and of a proposal to investigate the development of an autobahn for operations by ME262 aircraft, as there is a danger of Allied bombing of airfields, on September 28; on South-east Europe: that the German Admiralty recommends that the German Air Force (GAF) release some bombers to check an Allied break-through into the Aegean, on October 2; of orders by the 2nd Panzer Army to be ready for unexpected Allied attacks, on September 16; on the situation in the Peloponnese, on October 2; that the Admiral for the Aegean expects a landing of light Allied forces in the eastern Peloponnese, on October 2; of unobtrusive preparations for the evacuation of Patras to Rhion, on October 2; of a steamship being sunk by submarine in the north-west Aegean, on October 2; and that Niseros island is to be evacuated, with Candia harbour to be destroyed, on October 2.
