Description
A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes a BONIFACE précis (2 copies and telegraphed versions); and the following reports: from the Portuguese minister in Berlin, describing German despair, on September 9; Naval Headlines; and from a Japanese official in Berlin, saying that the situation is hopeless, on September 13.
