A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: several reports on the Allied advance on Paris, from August 24-25; on the planned resistance from the 1st Army; and that Allied armoured columns enter Paris on August 25; that the Germans prepare signals' installations in Paris for demolition, on August 24; of 25 German Air Force (GAF) bombers being destroyed on the ground at Nancy, on August 19; and that Allied air raids destroy bridges at Rouen and over the River Loire, hampering the withdrawal of German forces, on August 25; and on Eastern Europe: that German anti-aircraft units in the Ploesti area of Romania are ordered to hold on to this oil-producing area, on August 25.
