Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: of the 47th Panzer Corps' intentions, for August 6; on the 47th Panzer Corps' front line, as at August 6; of the 7th Army's intentions, on August 6; that the 10th SS Panzer Division is to arrest an Allied penetration, on August 6; that an attack by the 10th SS Panzer Division was brought to a standstill by heavy Allied artillery, on August 6; a 3rd Parachute Division situation report, for August 5; the 74th Corps reports Allied attacks and expects a continuation on the front, on August 6; the St Malo Naval Officer In Command's (NOIC's) situation report, for August 6; that the supplying of St Malo by air is to be expected, on August 6; that the naval authorities at St Malo and on the Channel islands were informed of a decree from Hitler to take ruthless action to ensure discipline, on August 4 and 5; of the 1st Army preparing to transfer its operations staff to an advanced battle HQ, on August 6; of orders to destroy airfields, on August 6; that the 89th Corps is preparing to move to the west, on August 6; and that the 67th Corps has extended its area and taken over the sector of the 81st Corps, as of August 6.
