This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) situation report in the Rennes area, for August 2; an 84th Corps situation report, for August 2; of orders on August 1 that if St Malo was taken then the German convoy office is to retire to the north-west in order to supply the Channel Islands from there; on the intentions of the 2nd SS Panzer Division, on August 2; of the sector of the 12th SS Panzer Division being widened, on August 2; a 326th Infantry Division situation report, for August 2; a 2nd SS Panzer Corps situation report, for August 1; an 84th Corps situation report, for August 2; three reports on the Normandy area, for August 2; a situation report in the St Malo area, for August 2; of the first identification of remote-controlled tanks in the Normandy front, on July 28; and that a further withdrawal is intended by the 715th Division, on August 2; on Southern Europe: of the 356th Division withdrawing, on August 2; and of a heavy Allied attack on Genoa harbour, on August 2.
