Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: that Allied bombers attack a flying bomb installation at Nucourt, on July 15; of a further attack on the Nucourt installation, early on July 16; and that the 272nd Infantry Division has replaced the 12th Panzer Division on the main defence line, on July 16; Naval Headlines report 1109; from the Portuguese minister in Tokyo, noting growing anxiety at the gravity of the Pacific war situation, on July 13; from the Yugoslav representative in Washington to the Embassy in London, for King Peter, describing objections to the Subasitch government as it is not representing the Serbs, on July 9; from the Turkish minister in Budapest, on discord in the Hungarian cabinet over the Jewish question, on July 7 (noted by the Prime Minister's (PM's) orders); and from Papandreou in Cairo to the Greek ambassador in London, detailing a special mission to London on Greek affairs, to have interviews with Churchill and Eden, on July 12.
