Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: of the German front line being along the River Orne through Caen, on July 10; that the Allies reach Maltot, with the 2nd SS Panzer Corps preparing a counterthrust, on July 10; that the Panzer Lehr Division are south of Carentan, on July 10, facing an Allied deep penetration; and that the 2nd SS Panzer Division has been taken off the strength of the 84th Division, becoming an army reserve in the Periers area, on July 10.
