A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the 15th Panzer Division expects an attack near Perugia and is to withdraw; that the right wing of the 20th German Air Force (GAF) Field Division is encircled northeast of Grosseto, on June 17; and of the 5th Mountain Division blocking a unit in a position east of Foligno, on June 17; and from the Japanese ambassador in Vichy, that the Germans expect a landing in the south of France, on June 16; and forwarding a German version of the fighting in Normandy, from June 15.
