A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: that the commander of Fortress Cherbourg needs reinforcement of the land front and requests further divisions by air, on June 17; that the 2nd Parachute Division is to be employed in an area northeast of Brest, on June 17; that German Air Force (GAF) Do217s transfer to Juvincourt, and that 8 out of 14 arrive safely, on June 17; on the intentions of the GAF 9th Air Corps for the night of June 16-17, including reconnaissance of London for the LXV Army Corps (V1 attacks began on June 16); and that the GAF at Juvincourt is to carry out a dawn operation on June 18 against heavy warships in the landing area.
