Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: of the German Air Force's (GAF's) intentions for June 16 including attacks to screen off the army attacking areas, from the area around Troarn to the coast; of the front line of the corps in the Caumont sector, on June 15; that GAF Air Corps IX warns of large-scale parachute landings in Belgium and Holland, with emergency platoons to be held in readiness for battle, on June 15; and that the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) West warns of definite signs that operations are intended against the south coast of France, on June 15; on South Europe: that the Allies sink torpedo boats off Spezia; and that a hospital ship was set on fire, on June 15; on German naval movements; on strikes in Genoa; and on the unreliability of Italian soldiers and police, on June 14; and Naval Headlines, covering German preparations to destroy Cherbourg harbour.
