Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of further German withdrawals in all sectors, on June 14; and on the XIV Panzer Corps' withdrawal line, on the night of June 14-15; on South-east Europe: that the German Air Force (GAF) in Greece are not to use BF110s for guerilla reconnaissance, because of their high fuel consumption, from June 9; Naval Headlines, covering a bombing attack on Le Havre that sinks many ships; and from the Japanese ambassador in Venice, saying that Mussolini is calm and is to fight to the end, on June 8.
