Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on France: of German Air Force (GAF) support being requested against a guerrilla group south west of Clermont Ferrand, on June 11; of Allied air raids on GAF stations at Nantes, Vannes, Le Mans, and Rennes, on June 11; that the 1st SS Panzer Corps was ordered by its fieldmarshal to attack to the north, and that the Panzer Lehr Division is to gain the area around Cachy and swing round Vaux Sur Seulles, on June 9; and on Italy: that the 65th Infantry Division, the 20th GAF Field Division and the 162nd Infantry Division wre subordinated to Battle Group Goeritz of the 92nd Infantry Division commanded by General Pfeifer, on June 10.
