A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file contains a message from C to the Prime Minister (PM); and the following reports on France: of the weather conditions preventing all air activity, on June 6; of lorry space being requested to bring the 2nd Parachute Corps for the exposed west coast, where the facilities are exhausted, on June 9; of the 2nd Air Corps being requested to collaborate with Panzer Group West, on June 9; German Air Force (GAF) intelligence reports the situation at Bayeux is not clear, and that a new defensive position has been built up on Avre east of Isigny, on June 9; that a State of Emergency has been declared and GAF stations have been put on alert for terrorist activity; that telephone communications with Bordeaux, Toulouse and Ossun have been cut; and of a shooting affray in Soumoulou.
