A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: of tanks and infantry attacking Asnelles; that Arromanches is under fire; and that shipping formations and landing craft are off Barfleur, on June 6; that Allied landings at Deauville-St Vaast are in progress, on June 6; the 709th Infantry Division reports landings at Quineville-Marcouf, and tanks in the Bayeux area, on June 6; of a German Air Force (GAF) ground attack unit moving to Laval, on June 6; and that the GAF 9th Flying Corps is to attack landing craft between the Seine mouth and Bayeux, on the night of June 6-7; on South Europe: that the 15th Panzer Grenadier Division employs its last available company to stop an Allied penetration on the Rome-Tivoli road, on June 5; of the German supply situation, with no unloading south of Florence-Rimini on June 3 due to persistent air attacks, and describing railway lines and roads being cut; of raid damage, and roads being blocked in the Spoleto area, on June 5; and of a heavy air raid on Ferrara, on June 5.
