Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of the 334th Infantry Division moving to the Rieti area to undertake a new task, on June 4; of the 15th Panzer Grenadier Division being deployed on a defence line along the River Aniene, on June 4; that the 26th Panzer Division is to transfer on June 5 to north-northeast of Rome; that tank transports are due in Florence, and detailing arrangements for their distribution, on June 2; and on the German employment of eastern battalions formed from Soviet PoWs; on South-east Europe: of counter-measures to the Allied unloading of artillery on Brac, on June 4; and that the Germans assess the Brac landing to have a long-term objective of opening a supply route to Tito, on June 4.
