Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that reinforcements for the 334th Infantry Division are unable to get through; of the 26th Panzer Division's new line; and that the 51st Mountain Corps is withdrawing, on June 3; that the 15th Panzer Grenadier Division is to withdraw because of an enemy break-through, on June 3; that the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division is to withdraw on the night of June 3-4; that the 362nd Infantry Division is to retire on the night of June 3-4; of the 334th Infantry Division withdrawing; on the 29th Panzer Grenadier Division's defence line; and a 2nd Air Fleet situation report late on June 3, noting the Allies to be east of Rome; on the Central Russian Front: of the 3rd Panzer Army withdrawing southeast of Vitebsk, on the night of May 31-June 1; on Germany: that the German Air Force (GAF) are unable to repair their BF109s because of a shortage of wings, on June 2; on South-east Europe: a German report of a rumour that Tito has gone to London and Moscow, on May 28; Naval Headlines; and from the Portuguese minister in Ankara, describing the Turkish reaction to Churchill's speech, on May 30.
