A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that anti-aircraft artillery reinforcements arrive to protect the bridge at Subiaco, on May 30; that the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the South-west requests the May 27 order of battle for the 42nd Jaeger Division, a division of the Reserve of German High Command, last located in Yugoslavia in early May but now probably en route to Italy; a detailed intelligence review by the C-in-C for the South-west for May 28; and a similar report for May 27; on Western Europe: on the tightening up of reporting on Allied air landings in France so that a counter-attack can be mounted before the troops that have landed have had time to assemble and prepare to break out; and that German Air Force (GAF) long-range bombers employing radio-controlled bombs are to return to the Bordeaux area immediately following training operations in the Baltic, on May 29.
