Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: battle reports from the Italian Front for 9 German units, covering more withdrawals in the face of Allied superiority, on May 29; a report for May 27 on the supply and general situation on the Italian Front, stating that the Germans are suffering heavy losses of weapons, and giving details of the rail situation; a 14th Army fuel and weapons' reserves report for May 27; and of the detailed order of battle for the German 10th and 14th Armies in Italy as at May 27; and on Western Europe: of German Air Force (GAF) administrative arrangements for defensive mining of the French coast, describing its stocks of serviceable weapons as at May 27.
