Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following report on Western Europe: a message of May 25 from the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) West to German High Command and relevant authorities in the Western Command on the release of anti-gas equipment from army central stores to units in his command, particularly to divisions on the French coast; and correspondence between the Prime Minister (PM), the Chief of the Imperial General Staff (CIGS) and the Chiefs of Staff concerning German gas supplies and equipment.
