Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that 3 German divisions plan to continue their withdrawal overnight on May 28/29 in the face of a strong Allied advance on the Italian Front; that the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division resists the Allied advance, on May 28; of German Air Force (GAF) ground attack aircraft being withdrawn from central Italy by May 29, so no air support is now possible for German ground forces in the area; and on the new main defence line of the 1st Parachute Division as at dawn on May 29.
