A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: battle reports from the Italian Front, for May 26, stating that the 90th Panzer Grenadier Division and the 44th Division are withdrawing; and that the 1st Parachute Division loses many men when attacked for a second time by German Air Force (GAF) aircraft; on Western Europe: that an Allied air raid of May 26 results in the expected closure of the Marseilles - Nice railway for about 4 days; and a detailed summary of the establishment of men and equipment in the (new) 276th and 277th Divisions in southern France, as of May 18.
