Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: battle reports from the 29th Panzer Grenadier Division, for May 25, stating that the division is withdrawing in the face of fierce Allied attacks; and that minesweeping services on the Danube are now acute as minesweeping gear ordered 3 weeks ago fails to arrive, on May 20-24; on Norway: that the Germans lose submarines in the face of intensive anti-submarine operations by Allied flying boats off the Norwegian coast, from May 22-25; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, detailing an Allied air raid on Berlin on May 19; and from the Turkish military attaché in Sofia, giving an assessment of Bulgaria's position in the war as at April 27.
