Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: three reports from the 94th Infantry Division, for May 15; situation reports by the 51st Mountain Corps and the 1st Parachute Division, for May 15; of the 44th Division handing over its sector to the 90th Panzer Grenadier Division, on May 15; part of a return by the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the South-west showing the actual strengths of his troops on May 1, dated May 12; and the 36th Infantry Division's appreciation of the situation as provided by prisoner of war statements, as at May 15; and on South-east Europe: that the Admiral for the Adriatic warns of large concentrations of landing boats in Bari, suggesting imminent Allied operations, on May 15.
