This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: two reports on the main Italian Front, for May 14; of the 71st Infantry Division withdrawing, on May 14; the 10th Army reports high expenditure of ammunition, on May 12; two reports on Allied damage in Italy, on May 13 and 14; of measures laid down for dealing with possible Allied landings on the Italian coast, on May 13; of General Lieutenant Ramcke enquiring whether the remaining elements of the 2nd Parachute Division had yet been taken out of the Russian Front, on May 13; and on the reasons for preferring a Commando operation against Lagosta to one against Vis, on May 15.
