Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: of severe damage caused to a German Air Force (GAF) station at Tours in an Allied raid on May 8; and that Allied raids cause damage on an ammunition depot south-south-east of Orleans and a supply depot near Rennes, on May 8; on Southern Europe: that a battalion of the 356th Division is to be sent to the Romanian Front, on May 3; on the Russian Front: that the 4th Air Fleet is to concentrate on bombing of the railways leading from Crimea, in order to hinder the transport of Russian troops to the mainland, on May 8; Naval Headlines; and from the Romanian minister in Berlin, on Germany and the neutrals, on May 3.
