Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: a 14th Army casualty return for the period of April 11-20; on South-east Europe: that the 2nd Panzer Army expects increased enemy activity and orders 'readiness 1'; on Germany: of the damage done to industry in a raid on Cologne, on April 20-21; Naval Headlines; from the Japanese minister in Madrid, that the German ambassador denies rumours that Germany is putting out peace feelers, on April 26; from the Japanese minister in Lisbon, noting expectation of a second front, on April 26; and the Siamese minister in Berlin suggests establishing contact with the Soviet Union, from April 26.
