Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports: selected reports from back material not read by the Prime Minister (PM); from the Japanese naval attaché in Berlin, giving a German assessment of the war situation in southern Italy, as at April 11; and on German policy for the conduct of the war since the beginning of 1944, on March 29; on Germany: of the German Air Force (GAF) being ordered to ensure aircraft dispersal and airfield defence after heavy aircraft losses on the ground, on April 6; Naval Headlines 1014 for April 13; 1007 for April 6, covering German false claims of success against a Murmansk convoy; 1001 for March 31; and 1006 and 1013 (which are not included).
