Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South-east Europe: of an Allied raid on a German Air Force (GAF) airfield at Banjaluka, on April 6; and of an Allied air raid on Pola, on April 7; on Germany: of heavy damage being caused to the Brunswick steel works in an Allied raid on March 23; and that GAF units are to help each other out over the shortage of ammunition, on March 31; on the Southern Russian Front: of Army Group A's positions, as of March 27; of the Soviets attacking Jassy, on April 4-5; that the 6th Army is to attack the Soviet flanks to allow the Germans to build a defensive position and evacuate Odessa, on April 5; of the instruction to the 6th Army to attack the Soviet flanks, on April 5; that the Soviets advance for an attack on Jassy, on April 5; of changes in the boundary lines of Army Group A, on March 27; the 4th Air Fleet's operational report, for April 6; and that the 2nd SS Panzer Corps is attacking to relieve the 1st Panzer Army; Naval Headlines; from the Japanese minister in Stockholm, on the illness of Stalin, as of March 29; and from the Greek chargé in Ankara to the Greek government in Cairo, describing Turkish optimism that the Germans are making a stand in Roumania, on April 5.
