Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This was submitted to the Prime Minister (PM), but not seen by him. This file includes the following reports on the Southern Russian Front: a 4th Air Fleet report, for March 30, including a claim for the annihilation of enemy forces near Stanislav; from the Turkish minister in Lisbon, noting the optimism of the Bulgarian minister after a visit home, on March 25; from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara, relaying the Turkish view of British and U.S. difficulties, on March 28; and from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, on Hungary's attempt to desert the Axis camp and the new government imposed by Germany; and on Soviet military successes, on March 24.
