Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South-east Europe: that regarding operation WIGAN by Army Group F (against Vis), the Admiral for the Adriatic cannot guarantee supplies and calls for concentrated German Air Force (GAF) air cover, on March 29; on the Southern Russian Front: the 4th Air Fleet's evening report, for March 29, stating the Soviets are across Jassy, that they made a breakthrough near Stanislav, and that the surrounded 1st Panzer Army is being supplied by air; and on German preparations for the evacuation of Odessa, on March 27-28.
