Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: reports of March 16 from the 1st Parachute Division and the 14th Army Corps on fighting in the Cassino area; and of German Air Force (GAF) combat plans for Italy for March 17, that ground attack aircraft are to attack Allied vehicle concentrations at the Anzio beachhead; on the Russian Front: a GAF report for March 16; and that German naval vessels are to prepare to evacuate German troops retreating from the eastern to the western shore of the Bug estuary on the north Black Sea coast and also to prepare to abandon Odessa at short notice, on March 14.
