Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) report for the area of the Hermann Goering Division, on March 13, noting Allied air attacks against rail and road communications, and that an ammunition train was hit; on the Russian Front: a report for March 12, describing further Russian advances and German withdrawals; that the German 8th Army is requesting GAF logistical support, on March 13; and from the Irish minister in Rome, describing the current war situation in Italy, that the Germans had shot their bolt and Hitler had stated that he could send no more reinforcements, as of March 10.
