This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of the first mention of Panzer Group West, on March 3; on the Russian Front: of orders for the increased use of railway routes into Romania, and that the Romanian state railways are to be asked to take over more trains, on March 7; and that the Chief Quartermaster (QM) of Army Group A suggests as a priority the evacuation of Nikolaev, on March 9; and the Naval Headlines, with the Prime Minister's (PM's) query on what the lead box contained belonging to LCT 3 which is now in German hands in Kos, with responses from the Director of Naval Intelligence (DNI) and the First Sea Lord (1SL).
