A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that the 90th Panzer Grenadier Division is not replacing the 1st Parachute Division, on February 26; that the 1st Parachute Division took over the sector of the 90th Panzer Grenadier Division on February 26; additional details of the strengths of German Army formations in Italy as of February 1; and of a German tanker being torpedoed between Genoa and Marseilles, on February 27. This file also includes the following correspondence: from the Japanese ambassador in Ankara, on Allied unity, on February 22; from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin, on German and rival Spanish monarchist factions, on February 18; from the Portuguese minister in Tokyo, regarding Japan's grave position, on February 23; from Tsouderos in Cairo, noting Greek dissatisfaction with a speech by Churchill, on February 24; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin reports a conversation between the Spanish Foreign Minister, Jordana, and the German ambassador in Madrid, on February 23; from the Turkish air attaché in London, describing air raids on London, on February 24; from the Venezuelan minister in London, detailing air raids on London, on February 24; from the Chilean ambassador in London, on the removal of invasion force HQ, on February 25; from the Persian Legation in London, on air raids on London, on February 24; from the Iraqi minister in London, regarding air raids on London, on February 23; from the Afghan Legation in London, on air raids on London, on February 24; from the Saudi Arabian chargé d'affaires in London, on air raids on London, on February 25; and the Japanese military attaché in Berlin asks for foreign currency, on December 7.
