This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the 715th Infantry Division takes over the southern sector covering the Anzio bridgehead, from February 25; on South-east Europe: that an Allied raid on Fiume hits an oil refinery, torpedo workshops and gasworks, on February 24; of a steamship being sunk off Navarino, on February 25; of a steamship being destroyed by Allied aircraft in Sibenik harbour, on February 24; that the German Navy in the Peloponnese orders defensive measures against expected midget submarine attacks, on February 24; that a sailing vessel was sunk by an Allied submarine in the Aegean, on February 25; that the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the Southwest (Army Group C) objects to the transfer of regimental groups to the Austrian frontier area, because it is riddled with enemy agents, on February 15; and a German Air Force (GAF) situation report on operations against guerillas in Croatia on February 23-24; and on the Southern Russian Front: that the Admiral for the Black Sea considers he has insufficient freight space for supplies and that augmentation from the Aegean is not possible, on February 24.
