Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of the 29th Panzer Grenadier Division facing strong enemy forces, on February 22; from the 76th Panzer Corps, divisional reports for February 22; of German naval instructions for NOZZLE, an operation against the Anzio bridgehead, on February 22-23; and of German proposals for E-boat operations in the Adriatic, on February 20; on South-east Europe: that a steamship on passage from Piraeus to Crete was sunk, on February 22-23; that the German Air Force (GAF) equipment issuing station at Larissa is essential to the 10th Air Corps, on February 22; of the employment of Italian military internees by the GAF, on February 22; and that the canvassing of Italian military internees for fighting volunteers is to cease, on February 22.
