Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the 715th Infantry Division requests continuous air reconnaissance support for a morning attack on February 21; and of the 114th Jaeger Division's front line after a successful attack, on February 20; on the North Atlantic: on German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance of shipping in the Faeroes, on February 19; on West Europe: that the 1st SS Panzer Corps was at Brussels, and the 2nd SS Panzer Corps at Alencon, west of Paris, as of December 20; Naval Headlines; from the Foreign Minister in Ankara to overseas posts, noting British pressure on Turkey to enter the war, on February 13; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, describing a heavy air raid on Berlin on February 15; from the Belgian representative in Ankara to the Belgian Foreign Ministry in London, on the effect of Allied air raids on German morale, on February 17; and from the German Legation in Bucharest, detailing Turkish and Roumanian fears of the Soviet Union, on February 16.
