This file includes the following reports on South Europe: a 715th Division evening report, for February 17, noting considerable losses; and that a German U-boat claims the sinking of an Allied cruiser in the Gulf of Gaeta, on February 18; on South-east Europe: of German shipping on the Dalmatian coast, for February 11 and 17; and that the Germans appreciate the route from Split to Sibenik is barred by Allied motor torpedo boats, on February 16-17; on the Atlantic: that German U-boats and aircraft are to mount a major effort against an Allied convoy, on February 17; on the Southern Russian Front: Army Group A evening reports, for February 16 and 17; that the Germans expect an attack on Crimea on February 22; and of a Soviet attack and a German counter-attack on the approaches to Krivoi Rog, on February 17.
