Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: that a German ship carrying 4000 Italian prisoners en route from Rhodes to Piraeus was sunk off Cape Sunion, on February 13; and of sabotage to German small craft in the Dodecanese Island of Stampalia, on February 3; and on Norway: that German Air Force (GAF) resources are insufficient to permit a fighter reaction to high-flying Allied reconnaissance aircraft, on February 12, and that the defence of German Army and Navy assets is to take priority.
