Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of the 71st Infantry Division's transfer, on February 8; of the 71st Infantry Division being relieved, on February 9; a 26th Panzer Division report, for February 9; a 715th Division evening report, for February 9, describing attacks in the Aprilia area; that the German navy at Ancona was warned that further Allied landings are expected and they are to report the measures taken, on February 8; on South-east Europe: a German Air Force (GAF) Command assessment of the Allied forces in the Mediterranean area, as of February 8; of sailing orders for German E boats, from Corfu to Grado, and that a vessel was burnt out, on February 3, 7 and 8; on Germany: that several hundred Allied aircraft attacked Frankfurt-Main, on February 8; and on the Southern Russian Front: the 4th Air Fleet's reconnaissance results for February 9.
