A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: a 334th Infantry Division report from the Anzio bridgehead area, on February 6; the 715th Division's final day report, for February 6; that the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division advanced the main defence line, on February 6; 71st Infantry Division reports, for February 6; of the 76th Panzer Corps' requests for air reconnaissance, on February 6; that Kesselring is to set up a school to re-train Italian officers in German-Italian units, on January 30; and that the German Navy stresses the need for the dispersal of ships in Italian harbours, on January 29; on West Europe: that the German Air Force (GAF) are to institute training against the anticipated Allied use of war gases, on February 6; and on South-east Europe: that the German Admiralty do not consider that the demolition of harbours in the Istrian area is presently justified, as of February 1.
