Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: of indications of a move of the 1st SS Panzer Corps from Italy to Brussels, on January 23 and 26; that German trains arrive in Italy, and 1000 Allied prisoners are to be entrained at Rome, on February 2; and the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the Southwest's report of February 2; on Germany: of a claim that a German Air Force (GAF) night-fighter was sprayed with a phosphorous-like substance by an Allied bomber over Berlin, on the night of January 27-28; Naval Headlines, covering that a vessel is to transport Jews to Turkey; from the Japanese minister in Lisbon, relaying Salazar's views on Allied pressure on Spain, as of February 3; from the Japanese ambassador in Berlin, forwarding German information on Bulgaria and Spain, on February 4; and from the Bulgarian minister in Berlin, on a large Allied raid on Berlin on January 30.
