Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: a 14th Panzer Corps report, for February 3; of the 1st Parachute Corps' front line, as at February 3; and that the Germans in northeast Italy are to maintain the highest readiness to counter Allied landings, from February 1; from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to its ambassadors in Berlin and Moscow, on a view of German-Soviet relations, on January 29; from the French ambassador in Ankara to Laval in Vichy, describing Turkish advice to Roumania, on February 1; from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the German Legation in Lisbon, that Ribbentrop seeks information regarding the success of a German air raid on London on January 21-22, dated January 29; a report on the situation in Berlin, from February 2; and Naval Headlines, sent to the Prime Minister (PM) under 5705.
