Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: of the front line in the 3rd Panzer Grenadier Division's area, on February 1; 71st Infantry Division reports, for February 1; a 1st Parachute Corps report, for February 1, stating that the main defence line was re-established; that the 94th Infantry Division is in defensive positions, on February 1; a 10th Army day report for February 1, noting that Allied attacks make progress against the 44th Infantry Division in the Cassino area; of the location of the battle HQ of the 90th Panzer Grenadier Division, on February 1; and that the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the Southwest requests orders for setting up the 92nd Infantry Division, on January 29; and from the Fighting French in Algiers, to the Free French in London, a French secret service report on conversations with Soviet diplomats in Turkey, from January 26.
